Vision Montessori Accreditation is recognized by the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE), a distinction that affirms our commitment to high-quality, child-centered Montessori education and statewide standards of excellence. For families, this recognition carries meaningful benefits. Because VCPE accreditation is formally recognized by the Virginia Department of Education, and students who complete our accredited Kindergarten program may be considered for direct placement into first grade in Virginia public schools, provided they meet age requirements and demonstrate readiness. While each public school division makes the final placement decision, VCPE accreditation ensures that Vision Montessori student records, assessments, and Kindergarten completion are accepted as equivalent to those from public schools.

 

The month of June arrives with sunshine, longer days, and the joyful spirit of summer! Across all our classrooms—from Infants to Kindergarten—our students are embracing hands‑on learning, seasonal exploration, and meaningful celebrations. As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we are so proud of the growth, curiosity, and confidence our children continue to show each day.

Classroom Highlights​

• Infants will enjoy sensory-rich activities such as water play, textures, vibrant colors, and nature exploration. As their newsletter shares, they are “safely exploring the wonders of nature while continuing to nurture development through enriching indoor activities.”

• Toddlers are diving into summer themes with ocean animals, ice cream fun, and early science exploration. They’ll be “exploring summer science through fun activities like melting ice, water experiments, and learning about sun and shade.”

• Primary students will celebrate the season through art, outdoor adventures, and imaginative play. This month “we'll celebrate a year full of learning with activities that spark creativity, curiosity and delight.”

• Kindergarten learners will continue strengthening academic foundations in phonics, writing, math, geography, and science while also preparing for their big milestone—KG Graduation!
